On March 4th, 2024 Associate Professor Dr.Chittanon Buranachai from Physics Program, Division of Physical Science, Faculty of Science and Center of Excellence for Trace Analysis and Biosensor, Prince of Songkla University (PSU) was invited to attend the 54th Visiting Professor Program (VPP) at University of San Agustin (USA), Iloilo, Philippines and to give a lecture entitled “DNA based fluorescent biosensors and portable devices for onsite detection”. The lecture was well received by faculty members and students from the Center for Advanced New Materials, Engineering and Emerging Technologies (CANMEET) and College of Technology, University of San Agustin and from local partner institutions.
In addition, from March 6th-8th, 2024, Associcate Professor Dr.Chittanon Buranachai was invited to be a plenary speaker at the 2nd Iloilo International Conference on Advanced Natural Products Technologies (I2CANProTech II), University of San Agustin delivering a talk entitled “Simple Method for the Detection of Porcine DNA in Halal-Certified Food Products”. The event helped promoting some of our research works on an international stage.
Associate Professor Dr.Chittanon Buranachai and TAB-CoE are highly grateful for the invitation, the support and the warm hospitality from Professor Dr.Jonel P. Saludes, Vice President for Research and Global Relations, University of San Agustin and the organizing committee for the VPP and I2CANProTech II. The events signified the newly signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between PSU and USA and we wish to welcome Professor Jonel P. Saludes and his team to visit us in a near future.
