Electrochemical Sensors

An electrochemical sensor consists of two component, a recognition element that is selective to the target analyte and an electrochemical transducer that will convert the binding into an observable response. The electrochemical developments are achieved by modify electrode with nanomaterials such as carbon materials, metal nanoparticles, metal oxides or conducting polymer, aiming for the enhacement of sensors performance.
